Reminder, no meeting Dec. 28th. We just had movie night at the Cabin. Good times had by all who attended on that cold and stormy night!

Join your fellow Scouts for the annual movie night in the Cabin. 3 Movies will be shown and we will sleep over in the cabin. Donuts, milk, and juice provided in the morning. See you there!

Monday December 21st: White Elephant Gift Exchange

All Scouts and Leaders you are cordially invited to the much anticipated White Elephant Gift Exchange! 7pm at the Cabin. Holiday Class B’s, bring a gift, regift, but don’t spend a lot of money! Make sure it is wrapped and get ready for the fun!

This Monday night, December 22nd, is the Troop Christmas Party, White Elephant Gift Exchange and Cracker Barel. Everyone is welcome to participate in the gift exchange (Adults too). THIS IS A MEETING YOU WON’T WANT TO MISS!!!!

We need your help to make it a sucess. Please bring your wrapped exchange gift and food item as assigned below.

Predators: 1 box of crackers

Taskforce: 1 box of crackers

Thunderbolts: 1 block of cheese

Red Pandas: 1 block of cheese

Spartans: 1 summer sausage

Hawks: 1 summer sausage

Paper goods and drinks will be provided.

Wilderness Survival Campout: Dec 12-13 is Postponed!

POSTPONED TO NEXT WEEKEND DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER!

WE WILL USE OUR RAIN DATES OF DEC 19-20

Meet at Burgess Scout Cabin Saturday December 12: 8am.

FOOD: Bring a sack lunch for Saturday, a cook over the fire meal (no pots and pans will be available) for Saturday night, and an easy non-cook meal for Sunday morning.

EQUIPMENT: We are building our own shelters from cedar boughs. Bring a sleeping bag, sleeping pad, survival kit, first aid kit, mess kit, trash bag, and a sense of humor.

Return Sunday morning to cabin at 10 am.

Monday Dec. 7th: PLC 6pm: Seth’s Eagle Court of Honor 7pm

Saturday, December 5th: Eagle Project at Montessori Children’s House at 1900 University Drive, Lawrence, Kansas.
Building a Storage Shed on site.
8am-5pm come and go as you please.
Refreshments and a lunch available, bring your own water bottle

He needs any and all Scouts on the following days:

Saturday, December 5th from 11am – 5pm at Deerfield Elementary School, 102 N. Lawrence Avenue. Please bring workgloves and/or a wheelbarrow if you have one.

Sunday, December 6th, from 11am – 5pm, I will be assembling two benches and painting them. This will be at my house in my garage because it will be cold outside.

Don’t forget to get signed up for our annual Wilderness Survival Campout at Camp Bromelsick. Sack lunch, primitive cooking dinner over an open fire, and cold breakfast on Sunday. Don’t forget your fire starters, survival kits, first aid kits, and sleeping gear.
