Lazy Days Camp Out this weekend

  • Friday 5:30 PM – Check in at Cabin.
  •  Friday 6:00 PM – Leave for Bromelsick
  • Saturday: Camping all day
  • Sunday 11:00 AM.  Please note that scouts will not be dismissed until the trailer is unloaded and all troop gear has been put away.
  • There is no event fee for this campout.  Only your grubmaster fee of $10.00.
  • If you have not paid the $10.00 to your grub master, PLEASE DO SO AT CHECKIN.  Please provide a $5.00 bill and 5 – $1.00 bills if possible so change will be easy to make.
  • The weather looks incredible with sunny skies and highs in the upper 80’s on Saturday and lows at night in the mid 60’s, but bring rain gear just in case.

Activities for the day if you so desire to “not be lazy” will include the following:There will be wiffle ball, frisbee, kickball, a water sprinkler, etc. if you decide to come out of your tent at any time and want to run around a bit.

The weather will be warm so fishing or hiking the property will be nice.

CornHole Tournament Saturday afternoon

Rank Advancement – Campouts are the best time to work on requirements toward the next rank in scouting; many of these require a scout to either camp, cook, identify plants and animals in the outdoors, etc., and this campout will/can accommodate for all these.  You can work in a group or individually with any scout that is STAR rank or above, or with one of the Scouters.  Know what you want to achieve next in your scouting career and then go for it! If you need assistance on merit badge planning or eagle rank advancement, leaders are available to help.

Planning Meeting for Leaders

The troop will hold the annual planning meeting to schedule event dates and leaders responsible for upcoming program year (September 2018 to August 2019) on Sunday August 26th starting at 1pm (it usually lasts 2 – 3 hours). This meeting is only open to registered adult leaders – no Scouts.

The location is to be determined so if you plan to attend please RSVP to Mr. Gabrielson and he will add you to the meeting invite which will include location information and any other details.
