IBEX/Hidden Valley Campout – Jan 2-4

IBEX/Hidden Valley Campout January 2nd -4th, 2015

Friday night we camp at Hidden Valley in Lawrence and then go to IBEX on Saturday and spend the night in the IBEX climbing center. Meet at Burgess Scout Cabin Friday night at 5pm. Cooking Merit Badge outdoor cooking requirements will be met on Saturday. Patrols cook breakfast and lunch together. Dinner is at Fazoli’s in Blue Springs.

8am return on Sunday to Westlake Ace Hardware parking lot.

Movie Night at the Cabin Dec. 27th

Big screen movie night at the cabin. $6 per person for pizza, drinks, snacks.  Arrive by 7pm on Saturday night and leave by 9am Sunday morning. Bring games, Pokeman cards, and a sense of humor.

Also bring your permission slips and payments for the IBEX Campout the following week.

Congratulations to Matthew Pribbenow on successfully completing his Eagle Board of Review to become Troop 55’s 9th and final Eagle Scout for 2014. Well done Matt!

Holiday Gift Exchange Monday Dec. 22nd

It is time for the most popular Scout Meeting of the year! The annual Troop 55 Holiday Gift Exchange! 

This is for Scouts and Scouters of Troop 55 only! No family members or friends, there are just too many of us to invite others…sorrry.

Everyone brings a wrapped gift to exchange (scouts and leaders). The gift can be a white elephant or something fun or “Scouty.”  It must fall within the parameters of the Scout Oath and Law though!         Do not spend a whole lot of money!

Food will be brought by patrol for the cracker barrel, each member of the patrol brings one item:

Bob White Patrol = Crackers

Cougar Patrol = Cheeses

Wolf Patrol = Suasages

Cobra Patrol = Drinks

Fire Birds = Cookies/Desserts

Fire Eagles = Cookies/Desserts
